TRIP CHECKLIST

This is a checklist of what you can expect in the upcoming months.

YOUR RELIEF EFFORT IS SCHEDULED
-A trip confirmation is mailed to you.
-Your confirmation is returned to the NRN with a $1,000 trip deposit.
-Start you crowdfunding through CrowdRise through our website. Call us if you have questions on setting up your account. This has proven to be very successful for many of our volunteers.
-Your volunteer transportation is reserved.

ONE MONTH PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE
-Your program fee is due at the National Relief Network’s Greenville, MI offices. Our mailing address is below.
-Liability waivers, available on our website, need to be mailed to our office.
-Distribute the list “What TO Bring”, available on our website, to each volunteer.
-Emergency contact numbers and housing information will be supplied to you by your NRN Volunteer Coordinator.
-A Skills Assessment Form may be sent to you. This form needs to be returned as
soon as possible. The form will help us identify the resources that we are able
to offer disaster victims.
-A rough itinerary is sent to the motor coach company to reconfirm departure information.
-Your National Relief Network relief team shirt order will be placed. Please email your volunteer shirt sizes to your our office.

TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE
-Menus will be planned. Please inform us if you have any vegetarians attending.

DEPARTURE DAY
-Your motor coach will arrive ½ hour before your scheduled departure time.

*The NRN will ask you if you would like to change your destination should a more urgent need
for volunteers arise in another federal disaster area.
